RENAISCANCE HIPPY MUSIC 1962-1980. BEATLES TO BRAND X.

I am openning the topic mentioned here as the first subject for comment and diiscussion in this forum for those who log onto my website.That is perhaps is an interesting and straight to the point openner.The modern Music Renaiscance period, that blew up the world, and to the younger generations, is found to be somewhat of a puzzle, if not a mystery.The music between the years 1962 and 1990.
This is the heavilly LSD and Cannabis "Hippy" period, exploding with the Stones ,Beatles,Bob Dylan, and ending up with stuff like Pat Metheny, Weather Report, Brand X, where music took on a new meaning, and encompassed Time and Space itself through powerful media tools and amplification, not only expanding the conciousness of half the planet earth, but irrecoverably blowing the minds of 2/3 generations, irrecoverably, now burnt out victims and overdose/suicide statistics.Every bit as oustanding as the renaiscance of art and music in the 18th,19th centuries.
I have noted by students of this culture that follow, although some of them are first rate musicians, and well appreciate this stuff, there is a veil of mystery that rivals that of the Roswell, UFO landing, a barrier that peolple just cannot cross, a puzzle that no-one can solve, except the few survivors that were tnere at the time to experience this happenning.
So. I think it is a key idea to open this site music forum , on the Live Journal site, for interactive talk ,chat on this topic/subject heading. People may like to throw about ideas, ask /answer questions, or invite others into get this subject area.
It is up to those that log in , to generate an interest here, and take it as far as they want to.
